WHO ARE WE?

Careers Bradford is a private company contracted to Connexions West Yorkshire to provide impartial careers information and guidance in the Bradford metropolitan district.

We work with...

• Young People
  We provide careers advice and information to young people to help them make career based decisions.  We ensure that young people have access to the best training, education and employment options available for them.
  

• Schools & Colleges
  Our Connexions Personal Advisers work in Connexions Centres, Access Points and in schools and colleges. We produce a range of publications to help students decide their futures. Each summer we organise a results service to give advice to students after they get their exam results.
  

• Parents & Guardians
  We welcome parents and encourage them to attend careers evenings with their children. We have a range of publications specially for parents and we constantly try to improve the information available to them.
  

• School Leavers, Jobseekers and Adults
  Our staff in our two Connexions Centres (one in the centre of Bradford, the other in the centre of Keighley) offer practical help to young people looking for jobs or training places. Both centres have large careers libraries with computer workstations offering Internet access.

We have a European outlook
Careers Europe is part of Careers Bradford and is the UK resource centre for international careers providing information on working, training or studying abroad.

We use modern communications technology
The Careersdirect team is based in the Bradford Careers Centre and deals with employers, training providers and clients by web, email and telephone. It provides a fast and efficient computerised matching system for school leavers.
