HELPING PARENTS & GUARDIANS

On behalf of Connexions West Yorkshire we provide a full range of services available from our Connexions Centres and in local schools or colleges. They are designed to help your son's or daughter's career planning and decision making.

Parents, guardians and young people can visit their local Connexions Centres in Bradford and Keighley. Careers Bradford has extensive careers libraries. Trained Personal Advisers can advise all young people, whatever their interest, skills and abilities.

During Years 9, 10 and 11 Personal Advisers from Careers Bradford visit schools. Many pupils have careers interviews and parents/guardians may be invited to attend.

If your child is interested in job opportunities, specialist employment information advisers can help with information about vacancies and job interviews.

The Careersdirect team helps school leavers and jobseekers by providing computerised matching vacancies.

From subject choices, work experience to a first career move whichever route followed, Careers Bradford is here to help.

Together with the schools careers programme and the support of the careers adviser, students will be better equipped to make the right decisions.
